Description
Fort Halifax in Winslow is shown in a photo taken from across the Sebasticook River, looking north, at some spot close to the railroad trestle on Lithgow Street.
There were businesses, at different times, in the area of Fort Halifax all the way down to the point where the Kennebec and Sebasticook Rivers converge. One such business was Ware Lumber Company. Visible to the left of the Fort is probably the large open-sided lumber storage shed.
Bay Street is to the right of this image.
